The Stories We Carry: Healing Through Relational Reflection

  • Flower Cat 162 Noble Street Brooklyn, NY, 11222 United States (map)

Every relationship we’ve had leaves a trace. The brain and body store relational memories that quietly shape who we’re drawn to, how we show up, and what we expect from others. When these implicit stories remain unexamined, we often repeat the same patterns, longing for the same recognition, reliving the same ruptures.

The Stories We Carry is a 90-minute, intimate workshop designed to illuminate these patterns and help you consciously re-author your story. Guided by Aubrey Aust — relational philosopher, educator, and MA candidate at NYU — this gathering blends psychology, philosophy, and reflective practice in a warm, accessible space.

Together we will:

  • Learn how attachment theory, narrative psychology, and implicit memory explain why patterns repeat.

  • Reflect on formative moments of connection, rupture, or belonging through guided journaling.

  • Share insights (optional) to foster mutual recognition.

  • Leave with a Self-Story Snapshot: a written reflection to return to as you navigate future relationships.

✨ Who it’s for: Curious, growth-minded people who want to understand themselves in relationship more deeply, and begin choosing differently with clarity and compassion.

🎟 Spots are limited to preserve intimacy. Sharing is always optional and listeners are so very welcome.
