Flower Cat Conversations aims to further strengthen New York's local arts community. Once a month, Savannah will guide the group in creative discussion followed by time to connect with others.
Join Funkoven at Flower Cat NYC, for an introductory workshop about the 12 Houses of the astrological wheel and how they are the vital (and often overlooked) element to applying the astrology of the sky to the astrology of your life.
The Houses of Astrology are a gateway for a more expansive understanding of the birth chart. We will take a trip through each of the houses, help you identify the parts of your life that are lit up by the current and upcoming astrology of the sky and give you a few tricks to up your astro-conversational skills. Bring a notebook, your birth chart and a pen, we'll provide the rest.

Drawing from narrative identity theory, autobiographical reasoning, and somatic psychology, this 90-minute gathering explores how the brain constructs meaning from experience, why certain moments become “turning points,” and how our personal narratives shape our sense of self.
Together, we will:
✨ Identify the major themes, emotional arcs, and recurring patterns of your 2025
✨ Explore the turning points that shifted your inner landscape
✨ Trace the meaning beneath experiences that felt significant
✨ Reflect on how the year lives in your body and what it’s asking you to honor
✨ Craft an integrative, compassionate narrative that helps you close this chapter with intention
Through guided reflection, somatic grounding, and structured journaling, you’ll develop a coherent and empowered understanding of your year.
You’ll leave with a written narrative of 2025, a clearer sense of the story you’ve been living, and a more grounded orientation toward the chapter ahead.

Since June, Jupiter — the planetary god of optimism, faith, and generosity — has been traversing Cancer — the sign of nourishment, care, and protection. As solstice draws near, Jupiter nears the midpoint of this passage. Jupiter’s movement through the sky can correspond with periods of growth and exploration in different parts of our lives. Jupiter rules gifts and journeys. It show us what we seek, but also what we already have. In this workshop, we’ll reflect on what we need, what we have, where are, and where we want to go.
This 2 hour workshop will include some lecture, some discussion, Q&A, and some exercises to practice with your own chart. I'll also provide some journaling prompts for reflection.

Coming Home to the Self is a 90-minute, research-informed workshop exploring how the body holds our relational histories and how somatic awareness can help us reconnect with an inner sense of safety and belonging. Guided by Aubrey Aust, writer, educator, and MA candidate at NYU in Psychology and Philosophy, we’ll draw from somatic psychology, attachment theory, and relational philosophy to explore what it means to feel at home in our own skin.

A night of gratitude and meditation with sound healing, led by Loulou. We will be setting intentions, reflecting and sharing our own perspectives and visions on gratitude and will then bring it into meditation with sound healing.
Please bring a journal and a yoga mat if you have one, if you want to lay down & fully release. We will also have floor pillows available.
