Antiphonies: A Creative Workshop with Savannah James

Antiphonies: A Creative Workshop with Savannah James

an evening of inspiring each other and cultivating dialogue across various mediums—

all attendees are asked to bring in a small work (can be anything; drawing, poem, short piece of writing, painting— can also be a reproduction of any of these things) which will serve as a prompt for another attendee to create from. Tix @ link in bio :)

Antiphonies are traditionally a call and response type of singing, usually performed in hymns or work songs. The conversation of inspiration that occurs between artist, artwork, and viewer, is like a song of call and response. When an artist puts their work out into the world, it not only is a vehicle of expression, but an opportunity for someone else to become inspired, and ultimately create from.

Uranus in Gemini workshop with E Wray

In April, Uranus — the planetary god of rebellion, revolution, and surprise — ends its 7 year transit through Taurus, and embarks on a new journey through Gemini. Uranus transits can correspond with periods of innovation in different parts of our lives. In this workshop, we’ll reflect on what it means to revolt, and practice ways to engage with this archetype from a place of caution, curiosity, and care.

This 2 hour workshop will include some lecture, some discussion, Q&A, and some exercises to practice with your own chart. I'll also provide some journaling prompts for reflection.
